NICOLA'S BIG DAY
Some weddings are just beautifully calm from start to finish - and Nicola’s was exactly that. She was one of the most chilled brides I’ve ever worked with, and from the moment she booked to the moment she walked down the aisle at Lanwades Hall, not a single bit of stress crept in. (It may have helped that her now-husband, Nikita, had done most of the planning - the first time I’ve ever seen a groom more involved than the bride!)

the vibe
Nicola’s morning was peaceful, unrushed and full of warmth - the kind of start every bride deserves. We got ready in the beautiful bridal suite at Lanwades Hall: a romantic Edwardian country house surrounded by secluded gardens, tucked right on the border of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. It felt intimate and personal, with just three bridesmaids and no huge entourage, which meant we could take our time, enjoy the space, and soak it all in. No chaos, no early starts - just the dreamiest morning with a lovely group of girls.
the makeup
Nicola’s look was soft-glam perfection - glowing skin, rose-gold eyeshadow, and individual lashes for that fluffy, wispy finish. She wanted something timeless and polished, but still very her. Her brows were already chef’s kiss (laminated to perfection) so we left them to do their thing and built the rest of the look around them. We finished with the classic Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk - a go-to for a reason - and locked it all in to last from aisle to afterparty.
