CHELSIE'S BIG DAY
Some mornings are calm and serene. Others are full of excitement, energy and a real sense of let’s do this. Chelsie’s wedding morning was the latter – a Bank Holiday Sunday (with actual sunshine!) and a buzzing bridal party of eight, one beautiful bride, and nine makeup services to get through. With help from my assistant, everything ran like clockwork.
Chelsie got ready in the on-site cottage at Swynford Manor, a striking, stylish venue that blends romance with glamour. Her bridal look set the tone – full glam with a detailed dress, a personalised veil embroidered with her groom’s handwriting, and a bridal party in classic black. This day was always going to be unforgettable.

the vibe
The prep felt like a celebration in itself – music on, prosecco flowing, and the best kind of busy. With so many bridesmaids to get ready, organisation was key, but the energy was electric from start to finish. The sunshine only added to the magic (a real treat for a UK Bank Holiday!). Everything about Chelsie’s vision was iconic, stylish, and so well thought-out – she knew what she wanted, and the whole day was full of personal touches and feel-good moments.
the makeup
Chelsie had struggled with acne scarring and really wanted a flawless finish that would stand the test of time (and heat). After two preview sessions, we had a clear plan and a product combo that gave her confidence. The final look was perfection – flawless skin, a gold glitter eye, and cluster lashes to make her eyes pop.
With so much detail in her dress and veil, we kept the lips neutral and fresh so everything felt balanced. It was glam, long-lasting, and – most importantly – she felt incredible in it.
