BETH'S BIG DAY
Beth’s wedding morning started early – 5:30am early – but thanks to her booking me a local hotel for the night before, I managed to avoid an even earlier drive (forever grateful!). With ten makeup services booked in, it was all systems go from the moment I arrived, and by the time I’d finished makeup look number three, it was still pitch black outside.
The prep took place in a spacious Airbnb nearby, where Beth’s dad kept the bridal party (and me!) fuelled with tea, bacon rolls and pastries. It was the best kind of start – warm, calm, and quietly buzzing with excitement. Sometimes a big group can mean chaos, but this was the opposite. Whether everyone was tired from the early start or just naturally laid-back, everything felt relaxed and easy from the get-go.

Smeetham Hall Barn was the perfect mix of rustic charm and countryside elegance – an ideal setting for an autumn wedding. Beth was calm, collected and completely in the moment, which set the tone for everyone else. There was a lovely balance between excitement and ease, and everything unfolded without a hitch.
The bridal party arrived in style on a personalised old-school bus, and the colour scheme of burnt oranges and deep greens brought a warm, seasonal feel. Even their dogs were part of the look, with matching outfits to suit the palette. And while there was a quick burst of rain after the ceremony, it didn’t dampen the mood – in fact, it made for some of the most beautiful golden hour umbrella photos.
the makeup
Beth doesn’t usually wear makeup, so her wedding look needed to feel like her – just elevated. She already had lash extensions on, so we focused on soft shimmer eyeshadows and blended them a little higher to complement her hooded eyes and give that lifted, wide-eyed look.
The overall finish was glowy, natural and long-lasting, and gave her the confidence she deserved while still feeling completely like herself. Simple, polished and exactly right for her.

"From my initial enquiry, right through to my wedding morning, Hannah was fantastic! As someone that doesn’t really wear make up, I had no idea what I wanted or what to ask for so during my trial, Hannah guided me through the process, pausing at each stage to ensure I was happy and see if I wanted any changes. My finished look meant I still felt like myself but also felt special for my wedding day.
I had a large bridal party but Hannah was unphased by the 5.30am start and effortlessly completed each of our looks in turn to ensure that we were all ready in time. My young nieces (5 and 6) were even treated to some flower girl sparkle and loved being made to feel as if they were fully part of the preparations.
