MEGAN'S BIG DAY
For Megan, it was so important that the morning felt calm and well-organised – the kind of start that would ease the nerves and set a relaxed tone for the day ahead. With five makeup services to do and a 2pm ceremony, the fact they were able to stay at Parklands the night before helped massively. The venue’s prep space is great too – with a separate area for hair and makeup, it meant the bridal party weren’t all crammed into one room and could come and go with ease.
Megan had a colour-coordinated schedule (which is totally my thing) and with everything planned out, the morning ran seamlessly. The weather turned up too – sunshine and warmth, which only added to the feel-good vibe. Everyone was ready on time, and Megan had a few moments to herself before the ceremony to breathe, reset and soak it all in. Oh, and her sparkly Jimmy Choo trainers were the perfect mix of glam and comfy.

MEGAN'S LOOK
the vibe
The morning had a calm, positive energy – a gentle build-up to what was clearly going to be an emotional day. Megan was open about feeling a little anxious, so we made sure everything felt as relaxed and supportive as possible. From the separate prep space to the detailed schedule, every detail helped keep the stress low and the mood high.
It’s always lovely when a bride feels taken care of and can enjoy the process, and that’s exactly what this morning allowed – time, space and a supportive group around her.
the makeup
Megan had her trial with her mum a few months before the wedding, which was such a nice way to ease the nerves and enjoy the experience together. Neither of them wear makeup often, so we kept everything soft, warm and wearable – think natural glam, with glowing skin, warm tones on the eyes, and a subtle lip.
With higher-than-expected temperatures at Parklands on the day, we focused on long-wear products and skin prep that could stand up to the heat. Megan wanted to feel like the best version of herself and was especially keen to minimise redness – we built a look that ticked every box, lasting beautifully right through to the evening.
the team
Megan brought together a thoughtful and professional team that helped keep the day flowing with ease:
-
Jessica Jade Hair styled everyone beautifully with soft, romantic hair
-
Karen Jayne Cake Design created a cake that looked almost to good to ear
-
Fraser Parry Photography captured all the moments with warmth and creativity

A NOTE FROM MEGAN
"Hannah was an absolute joy to work with! From our very first email conversations to on our big day, I couldn’t fault her professionalism and organisation. Hannah’s booking process was straightforward and her online system allowed me to keep track of payments pending which as a busy bride-to-be this was so helpful! My mum and I had trials around 3 months before the wedding, having not met Hannah before I was a little nervous but as soon as Hannah arrived I felt I had known her forever! Hannah liaised with the lady doing our hair to create our schedule for the morning of the wedding which meant everything ran so smoothly on the day! It was even colour coded!! On the day, Hannah discussed with my bridesmaids the looks they wanted and discussed any changes from the trial that I wanted. Everyone looked absolutely stunning and despite it being a pretty warm day our makeup lasted all day and night! I would recommend Hannah in a heartbeat!"
