HOW TO MAKE YOUR BRIDAL MAKEUP LAST

If you’re anything like most brides, you’re probably wondering how to make sure your makeup stays put - from morning mimosas to the last dance. After all, your wedding day is full of happy tears, hugs, and a whole lot of celebrating. So how do you keep your glow locked in?

Here’s your friendly, no-fuss guide to long-lasting bridal makeup - and a few reasons why pro makeup (done right) really does make a difference.

It Starts With Skin Prep

Great makeup starts with great skin prep. At your preview session, I’ll assess your skin type, chat through your current routine, and share prep tips tailored to you. We’ll make sure everything from your moisturiser to your primer is helping (not hindering) the wear of your makeup.

Long-Wear Formulas Only

Every product in my kit is chosen for its performance. I use a mix of luxury products that are tried, tested, and built to last - no cakey finishes or formulas that slide off by dinner. Think: radiant but locked in, glow without grease.

The Power Of Layering

One of the secrets to long-lasting makeup? Strategic layering. It’s not just about piling it on - it’s about applying the right products, in the right way, in the right order. From cream blushes set with powder to liner locked in with shadow, every step has a purpose.

Setting Sprays & Powders

Yes, powders and setting sprays help. But only when they’re used in the right places, on the right skin types. I use fine, non-cakey powders and bridal-friendly sprays to make sure everything stays in place without feeling heavy or flat.

Touch-up Kits

Every bride I work with receives a complimentary touch-up kit, which includes a pot of your lip colour, a brush, a blotting sponge with powder, cotton buds, and a lash brush- so you can feel fresh throughout the day. That said, most of my brides barely touch it.

Optional Stay-on Service

Still nervous? I offer an optional stay-on service, which means I’ll be on hand for any top-ups after your ceremony and before your photos. I can fix any tears, refresh your lip, and make sure everything is picture-perfect as your day unfolds.

In Summary

I’m not just using long-wear products - I’m applying them with the expertise that comes from doing hundreds of bridal makeups. I know how to prep, layer and finesse every step so it stays where it should, through whatever the day throws at you. Your wedding day is full of emotion - your makeup shouldn’t be. With the right products, proper prep and pro techniques, your look can last from morning to midnight (and beyond).

If that’s the kind of glow you’re dreaming of, I’d love to chat.
